These terms apply to your use of camera-test.com and every test, tool and guide published on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

camera-test.com provides free diagnostic tools that run inside your web browser, plus written troubleshooting guides. The tools read information your browser chooses to expose about your hardware and connection, and display it back to you.

No account is required, no software is installed, and the tests process your camera, microphone, keyboard and benchmark data locally on your device.

Results are indicative, not certified measurements. Browsers negotiate camera resolution and frame rate on a per-request basis, benchmark scores vary with background load, power mode and thermal state, and network measurements depend on routing and server distance at that moment.

Nothing on this site is professional repair, security or legal advice. Do not rely on a result alone to decide that hardware is faulty, to void a warranty, or to make a purchase or repair decision.

• Do not use the site to test devices you are not authorised to access.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not republish the guides or tools as your own work.
• Do not use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.

Some tests ask your browser for access to a camera, microphone, notifications, location, MIDI or sensors. You control those prompts and can withdraw access at any time in your browser settings. We never receive the media itself. See the Privacy Policy for details.

The site design, code, tool implementations and written guides are owned by the operator of camera-test.com and protected by copyright. You may link to any page freely and quote short extracts with attribution.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We may change, suspend or retire any test or guide at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, camera-test.com and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including data loss, hardware damage, missed meetings or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Guides may link to manufacturer support pages and other external resources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content.

We may update these terms as the site evolves. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
