Help & Feedback
Something not working, or a test you wish existed? Start here. Most problems are solved in under a minute by the three checks below, and anything else reaches a human.
Start with these three checks
1. Check your permissions
Nine out of ten "my camera is not detected" reports are a browser permission that was denied once and quietly remembered. The Permissions test shows every permission this site holds and how to reset the ones that are blocking you.
2. Check the device is actually visible
If the browser cannot see the hardware at all, no test will work. The Connected Devices list shows every camera, microphone and speaker your browser can currently reach. An empty list points to a driver, cable or privacy-switch problem, not a website problem.
3. Check nothing else is holding the device
Zoom, Teams, OBS and Camera apps can hold exclusive access to a webcam or microphone. Close them completely, including from the system tray, then reload the test page.
Send us a message
If the checks above did not help, use the contact form. Include your browser and version, your operating system, the exact test page, and what happened compared with what you expected.
The fastest way to give us everything at once is the Browser Info test, which has a copy button that produces a ready-to-paste support summary.
Feature requests
We keep a running list of tools people ask for and build the ones that solve a real check: something you do before a call, before a purchase, or before you decide a device is broken. Tell us what you were trying to find out, not just which tool you want, and the request goes a lot further.
Common questions
A test says my device is blocked. What do I do?
Open the Permissions test first. It shows exactly which permission your browser is withholding and how to reset it for this site. Most blocked-device reports come down to a permission that was denied once and remembered.
Do you store anything I test?
No. Camera frames, microphone audio, keystrokes and benchmark results all stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab discards everything.
My results look different from another testing site. Who is right?
Both can be correct. Browsers negotiate camera resolution and frame rate per request, and benchmark scores move with background load, battery mode and thermal throttling. Run a test twice on a quiet machine before treating a number as final.
Can I use these tests on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Every test runs in mobile Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. Some tools, such as the MIDI and controller tests, depend on hardware most phones do not have, and will tell you so instead of failing silently.
How do I report a bug?
Use the contact form and include your browser, operating system, the test page you were on, and what you expected to happen. The Browser Info test has a copy button that produces a summary you can paste straight in.
Can you add a test for something else?
Please ask. Requests that solve a real pre-call or pre-purchase check are the ones we build first.
